HCLTech TechBee Program

“My experience with the TechBee program has been really good and it’s been pretty streamlined and easy to keep up along with online lectures every week… TechBee helps to really get a foot in the door in an IT career. It really helped me secure better jobs quicker. It also helped in increasing my knowledge base so it's handy, and helped get good work experience.”

“I started working with HCLTech in July 2021 and I had no background from IT. I'm currently enrolled in Bachelor of Nursing at RMIT University, Victoria and have no prior knowledge from schooling on IT. I wanted to do something different part from like my family where most are in the health profession. I want to do something that I like, have a broader job with more problem solving every day, where I can work with teams, and I can do something better in the future like a lot of my friends, and I can see that the future is IT. I learned a lot from the trainers because it was hands-on and practical as well. This was my breakthrough, where I can do something different.”

“It was an exciting program. Thanks to the hybrid training model, we learnt theoretical stuff and applied them to real-life scenarios. The program is flexible and prioritizes our studies. I joined the TechBee training program because I wanted to apply some of the skills that I already had, and those which I had got though my degree. I wanted to do this while I was studying. TechBee is a good training program because it's great way to get practical and theoretical experience. In addition you become financially independent because you earn while you’re working, and as a result, become more confident.”

“I graduated from Sydney Boys High School in 2019 and right now I'm undertaking a degree at USW studying computer science and commerce and right now I'm working as an intern at HCLTech as a software engineer aligned to a finance company. I have really enjoyed the hands-on aspect of it compared to university which is much more theoretical. I decided on the program as it was in my field of work, since I'm doing computer science at university. Also read up on HCLTech, and they were partnered with institutions like Cricket Australia, so I was very interested in joining up. Students should join the program as it's a very good link between university and the professional workplace. It's also a very nurturing environment.”
