Jamil Biswas

Jamil’s PhD seeked to improve strategies for pre-release holding of Queensland fruit fly in sterile insect technique programs. He has found more than 6-fold increase in recapture rates when extending pre-release holding from the previous standard of two days to five days, and is investigating effects of various pre-release dietary supplements on performance of sterile flies in the field.
