Our staff are exposed to clinical trials from Phase I through to Phase IV, with opportunities to work on a wide variety of sponsored and investigator-initiated trials.

Clinical trials coordinators work closely with our patients and internal/external stakeholders to coordinate clinical research projects in a range of therapeutic areas.

What we’re looking for:
  • passionate and empathetic individuals with a strong focus on patient care, excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and an understanding of clinical trial processes
  • candidates with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum qualifications/experience:
  • a bachelor’s degree in nursing, medical science, allied health or a related discipline.
  • Senior CTCs require at least six months of experience independently managing phase I trials and demonstrated mentoring capability.

Clinical trials associates support the day-to-day operations of the clinical trials unit in an administrative capacity. They are also responsible for the laboratory processing and shipping of our biological samples.

What we’re looking for:

Focused individuals with exceptional attention to detail and excellent multitasking skills, seeking an entry-level role in clinical research.

Minimum qualifications/experience:

A bachelor’s degree in health, science or related discipline (preferred), or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience.

Clinical trials trainees provide support to the Clinical Trials Unit in a range of areas as part of our trainee program – a one-year structured program rotating between the clinical, start-up and laboratory teams. At the end of the year, you should have a head-start on being a trials coordinator or assistant at any trials site in Australia.

What we’re looking for:

Bright individuals looking to explore a career in clinical research.

Minimum qualifications/experience:

A tertiary qualification in life sciences or health, or equivalent experience.

“I want to work in clinical trials but there are no formal comprehensive training schemes available. I want to learn about being a CTA or CTC, so I can apply for a position at the end of my 12 months.”

Clinical care coordinators work with our investigators to form the support network for our patients and their family members for treatment or disease-related concerns, paying close attention to their physical, social and emotional needs.

What we’re looking for:

A registered nurse with a high level of clinical nursing knowledge, and experience and skills in providing complex nursing care directed towards a specific area of practice with minimum supervision.

Minimum qualifications/experience:
  • registered nurse with current registration to practice from AHPRA, relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 12 months experience working in the relevant area of their specified post-graduate qualification or
  • four years post-registration experience, including three years experience in the relevant specialist field.

Start-up and regulatory associates set the groundwork for all our research – including budget and contract development, ethics and regulatory submissions, clinical trial feasibilities and regulatory document collection.

What we’re looking for:

Motivated individuals with high attention to detail who are able to develop and maintain professional rapport with a number of internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications/experience:

A bachelor’s degree in life sciences, health, accounting, or equivalent experience in clinical trials.

“I really enjoy being involved in the ‘behind the scenes’ start-up work in the CTU, although mainly a desk-based job we still play a crucial role within the unit and gain great insight into how research is conducted. The flexible work options are a nice addition.”

Finance analysts handle all the billing, payments, finance tracking and month-end processes of the Clinical Trials Unit. They are responsible for financial guidance and reporting.

What we’re looking for:

Individuals who are keen problem solvers and who have a knowledge of core financial functions, frameworks and complex financial systems.

Minimum qualifications/experience:
  • degree or equivalent experience in accounting/finance or related discipline
  • ACA/CPA or international equivalent qualification or
  • substantial progress towards a CPA (or equivalent) qualification.
