Our education costs and scholarship program

Macquarie University is committed to making the Macquarie MD accessible to students through a generous scholarship program.

Tuition fees

Students enrolled in the course will either pay Australian tuition fees (domestic students) or international tuition fees. Neither Australian nor international tuition fees are subsidised by the Australian Government.

The University's tuition fee for Australian and international fee-paying postgraduate students is subject to annual review, and will increase each year of your period of study.

Domestic students may be eligible for FEE-HELP to assist with payment of their tuition fees.

See more information about annual tuition fees and scholarships as well as support and financial assistance available.

MD scholarships

To help students from diverse backgrounds undertake the Macquarie MD, the University offers a generous annual scholarship program worth up to $300,000 to domestic students.

  • There is no separate scholarship application. Applicants will be considered based on selection measures for the Macquarie MD.
  • Only one scholarship can be awarded to an applicant. If you are the highest ranked applicant across multiple categories, you will be awarded the scholarship with the highest monetary value.
