Leading medical research
Our research studies diseases at the molecular, cellular, system and population level with key capabilities in genetics, cell biology, systems physiology and the neurosciences.
We have world-class research facilities, with access to dedicated PC2 laboratories, molecular and medical imaging suites, transgenic zebra fish and animal house facilities, and a viral vector core.
Our close relationship with Macquarie University Hospital provides a unique opportunity for both translational and health services research, as do the strong internal partnerships across these facilities:
- Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences
- Clinical Trials Unit
- Woolcock Institute for Medical Research
- Australian Hearing Hub.
