An internationally recognised curriculum

The hands-on nature of our department allows students to access an internationally recognised curriculum that explores the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders associated with the musculoskeletal system.

With frequent Open Day tours to our world-class facilities, and the opportunity for high school students to visit our onsite environments, we continue to expand our positive reputation to both stakeholders and students alike.

Students can also enjoy first-hand experiences in major sporting events across Sydney and NSW, as well as placements in aged care and health facilities.

Professional accreditation

At Macquarie, we focus on evidence-based, scientifically driven, and industry-relevant learning. Our degrees are accredited and internationally recognised.

To become a practising chiropractor, accreditation under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) requires:

• Completion of an accredited five-year chiropractic program conducted at a university within Australia; or
• Completion of an accredited program overseas that satisfies the requirements as set by The Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia Inc (CCEA).

Macquarie University students can gain registration as a chiropractor in Australia and New Zealand by successfully completing both the Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and the Master of Chiropractic, amounting to a minimum of five years full time study.
