Professor Clement Loy

Clement Loy (BA, MBBS, MMed(Clin Epi), FRACP, PhD,MBA, FRSN) is a neurologist with research interests in molecular genetics and clinical epidemiology. He undertook subspecialty training in cognitive neurology at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London United Kingdom, and laboratory training at the Garvan Institute, Sydney Australia.

He has had the privilege of caring for families with Huntington Disease (HD), and genetic forms of dementia, since 2000. He leads a quaternary referral service and research group for people with HD, at Westmead Hospital Sydney, with a special interest in clinical trials.

He is Head of School and Dean for Macquarie Medical School, Macquarie University. He serves the wider community as a member of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee, and contributes towards the governance of a number of not-for-profit organisations.
