Interdisciplinary solutions to real-world problems

The School of International Studies conducts innovative research to understand and engage with a complex and rapidly changing world. We create pragmatic solutions to local, national and international challenges.

Our nationally and internationally recognised academics and practitioners are dedicated to upholding ethical values and actively promoting:

  • applied and pure research
  • fairness and justice
  • innovative problem-based enquiry
  • interdisciplinarity
  • research integrity.

We collaborate closely with industry, government and community organisations to tackle the complex challenges facing society. With strong connections to the public and private sectors, NGOs, and community groups, we work to provide solutions at both local and global levels.

This research is conducted by a team of experienced researchers and dedicated postgraduate students working towards a Master of Research (MRes) and/or a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
