Global Impact: putting your research to work

Saving lions with community organisations in Namibia. Working with international telecommunications companies to improve outcomes for disabled people. Writing and directing globally-recognised prize-winning films.

These are just some of the ways that Faculty of Arts graduate researchers are having an impact on the world.

In the Faculty of Arts at Macquarie, we know that research in the humanities, social sciences, and creative arts generates knowledge that benefits people, societies, and the planet. In a world shaken by Covid-19, political upheavals, and climate change, the research conducted by Arts graduate researchers is more important – and has more potential to make a difference – than ever.

To help graduate researchers develop as conscientious global citizens, who are ready to put their research to work in the world, we support a range of both academic and professional/community partnerships.
