Enhancing life opportunities through education

Our future-facing programs are founded in interdisciplinary research, and our students are able to learn discipline studies from experts across the university.

Macquarie School of Education programs are delivered to around 3500 students by more than fifty academic staff.

Our strengths in stakeholder engagement and research ensure we’re leading the way and enriching the lives of those who graduate, as well as the students who are the eventual recipients of all that we accomplish on campus.

The School of Education offers undergraduate degrees in early childhood, primary and secondary education. Postgraduate degrees are offered in leadership, teaching excellence, ICT in education, and special education, as well as opportunities for postgraduate research.

In our initial teacher education courses, professional experience is a core component of your study. To address both the personal and professional development aspects of teaching, we employ the Five Rs framework and instil these values in our new teachers early on.
