Macquarie Law School lecturer, Dr Shireen Daft, has been involved with a team of fellow IHL (International Humanitarian Law) experts collaborating with the Australian Red Cross as part of a project to analyse seasons 1-7 of Game of Thrones for violations of, and compliance with, international humanitarian law. This team will be live tweeting throughout season 8, using #GoTIHL.
This project is designed to raise awareness of the laws of armed conflict, and the importance of the preservation of these rules during conflict. The findings of the project are summarised here.
