It provides strategic advice to the Law School on the future directions of the Bachelor of Laws and the Juris Doctor to ensure our students continue to gain experiences, skills, knowledge, and professional exposure to optimise employability.

Dr Andrew Burke
Andrew is the Director of Education at Macquarie Law School. He is expert in criminal law and procedure and was previously a solicitor specialising in criminal defence.

Kathrina is the NSW Public Service Commissioner. She is a member of Chief Executive Women, is passionate about working in the public interest and is a champion for diversity and inclusion.

Emily is a Senior Design Strategist at Portable. She’s committed to making the justice system easier for everyone and is passionate about design doing, not just design thinking.

Amber leads the Australian offices of global law firm, DLA Piper. She is a collaborative and values driven leader who believes in developing and empowering others.
Dr Michael Nancarrow
Michael is Director of the LLB at Macquarie Law School. He teaches Equity and Trusts, Property law and Remedies and is passionate about ensuring an authentic student learning experience.
Brendan Piech
Brendan is a 5th-year MQ LLB and 2023 Macquarie University Law Society President. He is an avid MQ, intervarsity and national law-school competition competitor and works at BSV Lawyers.
Judge Kara Shead SC
Her Honour was appointed as a Judge of the District Court of NSW in 2019, previously serving as a Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Deputy Senior Public Defender and Crown Prosecutor.
