Dr Gary Saliba
Gary Saliba is director of Strategic Journeys a management consulting company that assists people in organisations to develop strategies for today and tomorrow.
The unique role of Gary and his company is the integration and implementation of processes such as systems thinking (considering issues as a whole rather than just the parts) futures studies (understanding what the future could look like), strategy development, computer simulation modelling and change management. This approach has enabled him to consult extensively in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia across a range of government and commercial enterprise in developing organisational strategy that is based in plausible futures, using the scenario development methodology.
Gary's approach is to work with people to enhance their processes in understanding their organisation's operating environment and their personal "maps" of the world. The use of values assessment, exploring worldviews, beliefs and assumptions is foundational to his work with people. By awakening to higher level of awareness, people can participate in more informed decision-making and improved responsiveness and flexibility in an ever increasingly complex environment.
Gary is a Visiting Fellow at the Crawford School of Economics and Government at the Australian National University.
