Transcript requests and other documents

Transcript requests are managed by Service Connect. Contact can be made through clicking on this link and using the ‘Chat Box’ to directly talk to Service Connect or phone +61 2 9850 6410 (Monday to Friday from 9am – 5pm).

You can request an official academic transcript from Macquarie University for a fee.

Official academic transcripts can be provided as a hard copy or a certified digital link using MyeQuals, an Australian and New Zealand platform that provides secure access to certified documents anytime and anywhere.

An official academic transcript includes:

  • enrolment details
  • units
  • results
  • credit points
  • course completion and conferral of award details
  • fails and withdrawals.

Current students can generate a free unofficial transcript via eStudent.

At your graduation ceremony you will receive your testamur, and two copies of your academic transcript.

Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) compliant awards also receive a copy of the Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS).

If you need a replacement testamur, you will need to go to the Graduation Documents page, complete a replacement testamur request form and pay the fee.

All requests are managed by Service Connect.

Names and abbreviations for all awards (certificates, degrees and diplomas) are listed by year in the Macquarie University Handbook archive.

  1. Click on the year you first began your studies at Macquarie to locate your degree.
  2. Search for your degree and open the course entry.
  3. You will find the shorthand name in brackets under ‘Award’.
  4. Then add the year of your graduation ceremony in brackets.

For example, if you enrolled into a Bachelor of Applied Finance with the degree of Bachelor of Actuarial Studies in 2010, completed your studies in 2013, but graduated in April 2014, then your official shorthand name will be BAppFinBActStud (2014).

Contact Service Connect for help. Contact can be made through clicking on this link and using the ‘Chat Box’ to directly talk to Service Connect or phone +61 2 9850 6410 (Monday to Friday from 9am – 5pm).

Use the Macquarie University Graduate Register to verify academic qualifications conferred by the University. You will need to know the person's name at the time of graduation.

The results of your search will appear with the graduate's current formal name, degree title and conferral date.

If you are looking to verify other details, check our Verifying your studies page for the official Macquarie documents available to you. The information in the database is updated regularly.

If your search does not return a result, check that the details have been entered correctly.

If you have any other questions you can contact Service Connect to discuss.

Most requests take approximately two business days to be processed. In instances where we need to access archived material, it may take a little longer.

There are plenty of ways to be an active member of our alumni community.

Here are a few ideas:

We recognise that life is a journey filled with new adventures and transitions and letting us know you've moved house or changed jobs may not be on the top of your 'to-do' list.

Take a moment to update your details to receive the latest updates on alumni events and relevant information happening in your area.

Or you may have accidentally unsubscribed from our emails (especially event invites).  We encounter this a lot with alumni, and it is mainly due to us in the past not having nuanced enough preference options.

For example, alumni may not realise that their prior request to not receive specific event information has removed them from hearing about ANY upcoming Macquarie University events or receiving our alumni communications.

Contact the Alumni Relations team on alumni@mq.edu.au to subscribe again.

You are always welcome to revisit our campus without needing a formal invite. Book a campus tour and rediscover the familiar sights and new developments.

Haven’t been on campus for a while or no longer in Sydney? Reach out to the MQ alumni team or one of your academics, and they will be happy to host you on campus.

Due to privacy restrictions, the University cannot share alumni contact details. But we can contact a friend on your behalf to let them know that you are looking to reconnect!

Contact the Alumni Relations team on alumni@mq.edu.au with your request.

Access to University resources

Macquarie University alumni are entitled to free lifetime membership of Macquarie University Library, including borrowing privileges and special access to limited online databases and ebooks.

Learn how to register on the alumni benefits page.

Starting October 2023, Google Workspace migration will affect alumni access for @students.mq.edu.au emails. We've arranged a 24-month transition. Afterwards, the account and data will be unavailable.

Please update your email for seamless Macquarie communication. Stay tuned for migration updates and impacts

Older, internally hosted email accounts (eg @laurel.ocs.mq.edu.au) no longer exist.

You can use Macquarie's iLearn up until your graduation date but you will not have access after you graduate from Macquarie University.

If you want to save your lecture notes, we advise you to do so before, or promptly after, your completion.

The Alumni Office produces a regular alumni e-magazine, Macquarie Matters.

If you have not received this, make sure you update your details or contact the Alumni Relations team on alumni@mq.edu.au so we can send you our next edition!
