We’re part of a larger group of collections on campus
Discover them nowHow easily do you fit inside a shark’s jaws? Who else is in T-Rex’s family tree? What’s so unique about a monotreme? Visit the Macquarie University Biology Discovery Centre to find out!
Our collection houses a range of specimens, mostly from Australia. Some of the items on display include skulls, skeletons, taxidermy mounts, corals, shells, antique microscopes and trays of colourful insects – as well as Minmi, the Centre’s resident ankylosaur.
This is just a small sample of the natural history treasures we have at the Macquarie University Biology Discovery Centre.
The Centre is open to everyone, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
A large amount of our material is stored off-display for teaching, research and media purposes.
