Freeze Frame: cinema and the afterlife

The Freeze Frame: cinema and the afterlife exhibition is based on a novel by Nigel Helyer that explores the relationship between Cinema and the Afterlife. Set in a post-apocalypse environment, the narrative features a group of semi-feral refugee youths who are avid Cinephiles, attending what is claimed to be, the last functioning Cinema in the world. The Orpheum Cinema is managed by a mysterious group of Greek exiles, who appear to have immortal status. The narrative is constructed around a series of classic films and structured as a film script.
