Donations and the Library

Macquarie University Library does not generally accept donations of items for its collections.

We thank you for considering donating your books to the Library, however processing physical resources is costly and not all material is suitable for adding to our collections.

In exceptional circumstances the Library may consider donations of items for our Rare Books and Special Collections, where these items meet our criteria of being rare and/or of unique value, are in good condition and support the University’s current learning, teaching and research directions. In these situations, the Library requires a complete list of offered titles before the donation will be considered. Contact the Library
