Changes to EBSCOhost access

On Monday 4 December the Library will move to a Single Sign On (SSO) for EBSCOhost.

On Monday 4 December the Library will move to a Single Sign On (SSO) for off-campus access to EBSCOhost. This will streamline access to eBooks and journals across the EBSCOhost platform which includes: Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier, CINHAL Complete, Religion and Philosophy Collection.

How does this affect me?

  • Change to your personal account: If you have an existing 'MyEBSCO' (personal) account that you would like to retain, you will need to merge it with a new one that uses SSO.
  • Change to iLearn links: All current EBSCOhost links catering for IP authentication must be replaced with URLs enabling Single Sign On. The existing links to EBSCOhost will continue to work temporarily, however, direct links to EBSCOhost content in iLearn must be updated. New links for iLearn will be supplied on request by the Library Unit Readings team. Teaching staff are encouraged to email the Unit Readings team at lib.unitreadings@mq.edu.au to obtain new links relevant to their course/s.
Moving to SSO for the EBSCOhost platform will also facilitate remote access to EBSCO resources via a dedicated mobile app, providing a more user friendly interface on mobile devices.
