Find out moreOur evidenced-based teaching clinics provide a range of services for a wide cross-section of the community, including the elderly and children as well as patients presenting with both chronic and acute pain.
We have offered this service to the community since our first chiropractic clinic opened at Summer Hill in 1974. Since then, we have expanded to include clinics at Eastwood and Macquarie Park.
Our chiropractic interns provide a service to more than 35,000 patients per year with a wide range of health problems, such as:
Protection of the public and high-quality care of patients, are paramount for the service. At all times, our interns are supervised by registered senior chiropractors and academics, who have access to cutting edge research to facilitate the development of a patient-specific Chiropractic Care Plan.
All our Chiropractic Clinics are equipped with modern radiological x-ray imaging equipment and modern chiropractic treatment tables.
Our experienced clinical supervisor team ensures that interns meet the highest standards of patient care as well as reinforcing exemplary academic standards of diagnosis and treatment.
In addition to our clinical sites, the Macquarie University Chiropractic Clinics and Research Centres work closely with local community not for profit organisations throughout NSW.
Our students support the sporting commitments of the Macquarie University Rugby Club, as well as external sporting clubs and the NSW Volley Ball Tournaments and NSW Surf Lifesaving Championships.
Supervisors and students work in conjunction with charities such as the Can Too Foundation, Giant Steps and the Cancer Council to support participants by providing complimentary treatment at events such as:
