Emeriti Honour Roll

The word emerita (fem.) or emeritus (masc.) is a term derived from the Latin words for 'out of' and 'merit'. In the academic world, the title of Professor Emerita or Professor Emeritus is awarded to a professor who retires from a university in good standing.

At our University, the University Council resolves to award this title to members of Macquarie staff in recognition of the eminent contribution made to the academic community at Macquarie University.

This page is dedicated to recording the names of the Macquarie Emeriti in honour of their meritorious career and their outstanding contributions to our community.
