Connect with other researchers beginning their careers to get support, share experiences and develop professionally through the department’s Early Career Researchers network, known as EnCouRage.

The EnCouRage network is managed by researchers in the early stages of their career from within the Department of Biomedical Sciences. It promotes interaction between early career researchers, organises training and facilitates opportunities for growth.

Future EnCouRage initiatives will include:

• regular networking events
• career development skills workshops and presentations
• formation of an academic mentoring scheme.

The network will also expand to include other departments within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, to allow for cross-departmental interaction and collaboration.
