What can a Mentor help me with?

A Mentor’s role is to help students by making them aware of and connecting them with services and facilities available on campus, sharing their own first year experiences and helping them become familiar with the campus.

 

Is there anything a Mentor cannot help me with?

Mentors are not trained to provide academic advice, assist with students coursework or act as tutors, or provide counselling support. In these instances they are fully trained to help you connect with the right service on campus to assist the student.

 

How do I request a Mentor?

Students can select a Mentor via the Mentor Selector tool or email us at mentors@mq.edu.au to request a Mentor.

 

Where can I go if I need talk to a Mentor?

Mentors are available on Level 2 of the Library Info Desk from Monday to Friday, 2pm – 5pm.
