Overview

Macquarie University has a diverse community of 8,900 international students from over 71 countries and our alumni are found worldwide.

We welcome the contribution our international students make to the cultural, academic and social life at Macquarie and we are continuing to incorporate cross-cultural engagement and global perspectives into our research and learning and teaching activities.

Macquarie University collaborates on a range of programs targeted at undergraduate, postgraduate coursework and postgraduate research students with over 250 exchange partners in 60 countries worldwide.

Our Study Abroad Program offers international students the opportunity to study at Macquarie for either one or two semesters. Students can tailor their study programs and receive full academic credit at their home university.

Students are also eligible to undertake an unpaid internship during the course of their studies which provides an invaluable learning experience and insight into a particular field of study, and exposes students to the Australian business and cultural environment.

Macquarie alumni are leaders in the world and our graduates enjoy support from programs such as Macquarie Ambassadors and Alumni Supporting Alumni programs to continue their global success in business, industry, government, education, the arts, sport and non-profits. Macquarie graduates can enjoy social and professional networking with local alumni chapters and networks located around the world including Singapore, Hong Kong, Mexico, Germany, China, Chile and Russia.
