On 30 October the Vice-Chancellor, Professor S Bruce Dowton, attended and spoke to the annual lunch of The Joan and John Lincoln Society. The Society was established by University Council in October 2009 to honour the elder statesmen and women of the University, and in particular those who have made it known they have left a bequest to the University in their will. The Vice-Chancellor welcomed new members of the Society and with the Chancellor, The Hon. Michael Egan, presented them with special membership pins.
